Use of a laser rangefinder can really help you to quickly and conveniently find the range for your target. Like most other commodities the market of rangefinders is fiercely competitive and you find a host of such items to make your choice from.  They come in a wide variety both in terms of make and in terms of price.  Ordinarily the rangefinders would come in the price range of $130 to $3000 on the average. There are still costlier items but for most of the uses including the use for the advanced experts the above range is adequate.

Despite the differences in terms of brands and prices, most rangefinders have one thing in common. The laser power output is almost identical for all of them. This does not mean that performance wise too they will put up a uniform face. On the contrary the difference in the realm of performances is quite striking. Remember, the purpose of rangefinders is akin to the spotting scopes or the rifle scopes, finding the object. The difference lies in the fact that the rangefinder can adjust the distance for a perfect and sharp view taking into consideration the actual distance.

You should not get overwhelmed or swayed by the performance ads floated on the nets or hoisted in hoardings by the manufacturing companies and be judicious in your choice. Like the Binoculars the performance of range finders in many cases falls short of the projected level. For example the range finder claiming visibility up to 1500 yards may in real time not pass above 600 yards only.
