Urdu well known poets like Nawab Mirza Khan Daagh who was born in 1831, started the recitation of Urdu poetry at the early age of ten only. He excelled in ghazal and his poetry is exuberant. He wrote four volumes that contains around 16,000 couplets. Also, the famous poet, Majrooh Sultanpuri was amongst the primary progressive poets. He strongly believed that all art should have a social content.
